Christmas 2009

Henry and Miles enjoyed Christmas so much! Well, Henry did anyway. Miles just sort of sat there staring at stuff and sticking the random present in his mouth.

Miles did love the 150 balls his dad got him:

A new train table for the boys - it was a hit:

And their matching pajamas are just too much, right? Henry loves to match his little brother. I don't think he knows that it's the little brother who wants to be the older brother, but we won't tell him:

10 months

10 months! This is the only picture I got of Miles holding still. He sure is a "squirmy wormy" as H likes to call him.


Miles is loving the tool bench we got for Henry for Christmas last year:




He just doesn't sit still. Here he's playing his tiny guitar:


We visited Santa on Saturday. Miles didn't cry for the first few seconds, but that didn't last long. Henry was a champ and just sort of sat there with this look on his face. As he says though, he didn't cry. He's very proud of himself for that.


He got a candy cane and a reindeer hat, which was a big hit:

Notice the new door behind Miles. We can now walk out to our deck - just in time for snow!

Imagination

Henry has been telling a lot of stories lately. Yesterday it was all about the toys "watching" a tv show about monsters and flowers.

First Haircut!

Oh my goodness - Miles got his first haircut! He's such a big boy. He doesn't have a ton of hair, but what he does have was very long on the sides and just all around messy, so I gave in and let his cute curls on the side of his head be cut off. So sad! But, he sure is handsome now.

Potty training

Just an update to all those interested in Henry's peeing in the potty (strange to be interested in someone's pee, but we are nonetheless).

Henry made it through the entire day yesterday for the first time with just underwear on (Buzz Lightyear) and no accidents all day long. He's still wearing a diaper at night, but our boy is so big, and we are so proud of him.

Leaves, and 9 months!

Henry was a great helper with raking and picking up the leaves this fall (seriously). It made it a lot easier to get the yard all cleaned up for the fall.

Miles is now 9 months old. Can you believe it? He's crawling, pulling himself up, and even got his knee up on the fireplace, so before we know it he'll be climbing everywhere. We're trying to brace ourself for two crazy boys!
