Walking - sort of

He's starting to walk a little bit.

By the numbers

Henry had his one year check-up this week. Everything seemed okay to the doc (who we love by the way, if anyone needs a good doctor) and he was pretty much a super star when it came to his fun shots. He got blood drawn to test for allergies since he appears to be allergic to sweet potatoes (hives were the clue) but we got the test results back and he isn't allergic to anything, so who knows. His hands and feet are so pudgy that they had 3 people in the room searching for a useable vein. Oh our sweet boy!

He got weighed, poked and prodded. Here's the results:

Weight: 22 lbs
Height: 30 inches
Head: 18 1/2 (I think)

Cake? Yummy!

Henry loves cake. He was not too interested in the frosting, but the cake was a hit. His dad made him a great remote control cake since H loves playing with the remotes and we wanted him to love his cake. The first birthday party was a lot of fun. Henry loved all the attention and the company, and didn't want to go to bed that night (I wonder why?). Thanks to everyone who was able to attend, and if you weren't able to make it, we missed you!

Happy Birthday!

Oh, Henry's first birthday! What a big boy. After a week of high fever and not being himself, he had a good birthday. We went to the Como Zoo and he got a new bike. Both sets of grandparents were in town - so he was very well loved.

Pull-ups

He's getting pretty good at pulling himself up now.

Before we know it he'll be running around.

Happy Easter

Henry didn't seem to think too much of his Easter basket. He did enjoy his new little bunny with a bell inside. To celebrate the day we visited the Como Zoo. I think his favorite thing was actually watching the other kids that were there, but he also seemed to like the Sea Lions quite a bit. His mom and dad liked the orangutans and gorillas the best.
